Anyone can lose weight. That is the easy part. Weight
maintenance is where people fail, and that is one of the
most important pieces of the permanent solution.
Learning to maintain weight and to create shifts in
thinking are the keys to lasting change. I work from
that perspective from the start.
During each session we talk over your current situation,
and explore thoughts and feelings that are keeping
unwanted behavior alive. Each session builds on the last
and little by little you will begin to identify unconscious
thoughts and feelings that are driving compulsive
unwanted behavior. I act as a coach and an ally to help
you discover and implement new ways of thinking that
create new behaviors, leading you to the results you are
seeking. My goal is that you discover your own internal
motivation and inspiration which is an important part of
long term success. We work together to uncover your
barriers to doing what you really want to do. When you
become aware of how you keep unwanted thoughts and
actions in place, you can change them. The exploration
of thoughts and feelings along with guided imagery will
help you do that. These changes become your own
choice. They become internalized, natural, and therefore
permanent. I am your audience and together we affirm
the changes you are making. Two people agreeing on
the same goal is a very powerful tool for creating
changes in our lives.
